Suzanne M. Trotter

Researcher

 

Enticed by her own genealogy and excited to help others with theirs, Suzanne is a very skilled researcher and talented linguist. 

Suzanne graduated from Brigham Young University in 2005 with a BA in English and a BA in Family History.  She specializes in Germanic Areas, including the German Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. 

While attending BYU, Suzanne worked closely with Roger Minert as the Indiana Project Coordinator for German Immigrants in American Church Records.  She also edited two volumes of German Immigrant Case Studies that have been donated to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and the BYU Library in Provo. 

She has conducted research on-site in towns and archives throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Slovenia.


She has spoken at various conferences across the United States and abroad.

She has foreign language training in Latin and German.  She is proficient with Hungarian genealogical documents as well.

She is preparing for Accreditation and Certification.
